Stanley Milgram, Peter Gabriel & Libertarianism

Another nice piece from the Ludwig von Mises web page on Stanley Milgram's famous experiment on obedience (here is another). It mentions the new TSA searches and the failed protest against the procedures that was to have taken place over Thanksgiving. The gist is that (some) people crave leadership and have a basic need to be told what to do.

Anyway, it's always a good reason to mention Peter Gabriel and his classic "We Do What We're Told (Milgram's 37)."
